Information for prospective members
Hello and thank you for your interest in our Exploring London group.
We do a trip at least once a month, to anywhere in Greater London or occasionally further afield if there’s an easy transport link.
Our trips are on varying weekdays and dates to allow people with regular commitments to have a chance to come.
As well as the usual London attractions - museums, galleries, and so on - we go to unusual places - we’ve visited pumping stations, the Olympic Park zip-wire, and the Thames Barrier, for example.
Details of upcoming trips are circulated as far in advance as possible and it is requested that you confirm whether or not you’ll be coming for one of the planned outings.
Members are expected to take their turn to plan and lead a trip - if everyone takes their part your turn would only come round about every year or so.
If you have an idea for a trip but aren’t sure whether the group has already done it I will be able to tell you.
As of February 2024 the group is now full.
