We are a group that has been meeting for many years and we are reasonably comfortable at holding a conversation between ourselves in Italian.
We usually start with a chat in Italian, either our news or a book we've read etc. which encourages us to construct sentences, use new vocabulary and idioms and promotes conversation. We have worked through quite a few textbooks, and we have just finished Colloquial Italian 2 by Sylvia Limbery. We try to find interesting articles to read and translate and often use YouTube videos in Italian for grammar and interesting expressions.
We meet in each other's homes. During the pandemic we met on Zoom, which kept us together and worked really well. We now have a vacancy for one person.
