We meet at 10.30 am on the first Monday of each month at Michael Shaw's home.
It is a participatory group and on a voluntary basis a member presents music of any genre which fits the chosen theme.. Our themes have included:
‘Spring’,
‘In the still of the night’,
‘Tingle factor’
‘Guys and Dolls’.
We include lyrical music, classical orchestral, opera, ballet, spirituals, jazz and the occasional reading of a piece of relevant poetry.
There is ample opportunity to discuss the music or compare and contrast two versions of the same piece. Coffee time is chat time and the group is lively and friendly. Members are invited to lead a session but there is absolutely no pressure to do so.
