Philosophical Issues

This class alternates with the History of Philosophy, also on Monday afternoons.  Our worthy member-tutor Laurie Gibson will be giving us philosophical dilemmas for deliberation and discussion.

Philosophical Issues:  Alternating with History of Philosophy dates for the discussion in the Spring Term are:

 

  • 12 & 26 January; 9 February,  2 & 16 March 2026 
  • We will be continuing to read dialogues from The Gorgias
  •  Please bring your copy of The Gorgias to the above sessions.

 

The class starts at 2.30 pm prompt and we vacate the room by 4.15 pm.  There is a short tea break with a tea making rota!  The termly cost has decreased slightly due to having a slightly larger class this term.
