This group follows the same format as the other Ukulele groups, meeting on a weekly basis in group members' houses. We have now been playing together for about 2 years and have played to other (non U3A) groups, as well as singing at various U3A events.
We are a fun and lively group, all of us enjoying playing and singing, including showing off our 'talent' :-) We have now decided to call ourselves 'The Ukulets' for our outside 'gigs'. We have yet to get the T shirts, but this will follow!
Half our group are also now members of the St Albans Ukulele Group, The Ver Players, who play and sing regularly (2nd Sunday every month from 7pm) at the Hare and Hounds. Why not go along and listen (and join in, with or without a ukulele!)
Given the amazing popularity of this instrument this group is already fully subscribed.
