The U3A is about sharing and learning and we need to help each other to do that. As you probably realize, nothing in our U3A happens by itself - everything that the U3A offers happens because someone is willing to contribute in one way or another.

This might be by sharing skills or knowledge through a Group or by leading or organising a Group. Some of us can play instruments, sing, speak a foreign language, draw, paint or knit. Some of us may even be rocket scientists! No matter what skill or knowledge you have, it's probably something that can be shared.

Everything, from speakers and newsletters to websites and cups of tea, needs someone to contribute a little of their time.  This might be as a member of the Executive Committee; if you would like to learn more about what is involved please contact the Chairman or any of our Trustees. Don’t be put off if you are a new member as your previous experience could well be useful.

We are always looking for volunteers at meetings, be it manning the book stall, helping to set up tables or audiovisual equipment or serving refreshments. It doesn’t involve a commitment to attend every event, just to join a rota. We also have a small number of members with limited mobility who would appreciate a lift to our meetings. If you could get involved in any of the behind the scenes work that keeps our U3A running, please let the Chairman know.
